The Black Hawk cocktail is a mix of espresso, vodka, and Kahlua. It was created by German-American bartender Danny Madrid in the early 1990s. It was popularized in the US after its mention in The Negotiator (1998).
It has become increasingly trendy to mix coffee and alcohols. Coffee has always been an important part of the drinking culture. But now, it's no longer an addition to your drink; it's becoming part of the drink itself.
