The Bronx cocktail was invented by a man named George Kappeler, who was the head bartender at The New Yorker Hotel in the 1920s. He created this drink to commemorate his favorite baseball team when they won the World Series in 1923.
It’s made with three types of distilled spirits: gin, rum, and whiskey. This cocktail is like a traditional sour because it’s mixed with lemon juice and sugar syrup. It is a gin based cocktail, which is very popular in the United States. This refreshing drink has sweet notes of citrus and herbs with some bitterness from the juniper berries. The orange juice helps to balance out the flavors perfectly making it an absolute must-have on any summer day.
