The Kentucky Bourbon Ball is a classic cocktail that goes back to the 1800s.This drink was first invented by an unknown bartender at the Brown Hotel in Louisville, Kentucky. The recipe was first published in Jerry Thomas’s 1887 Bartenders Guide or How to Mix Drinks.
It is one of the most popular drinks in Kentucky, made with bourbon whiskey, grenadine, and cranberry juice. It is usually garnished with orange half-wheel and served on the rocks.

Ingredients
1 ½ ounce Bourbon whiskey
1 ½ ounce Cranberry Juice
½ ounce Fresh Lime Juice
½ ounce Grenadine
½ ounce Simple Syrup
Orange half-wheel
Recipe
1. Shake ingredients with ice. Strain into chilled cocktail (or ice-filled old-fashioned) glass.
2. Garnish with orange.
3. Serve in a Cocktail Glass.
