Sidecar is a drink that was created in the 1920s at the Sidecar Bar of the Ritz Paris, located on Place Vendôme. The original recipe used brandy, Cointreau, and lemon juice. Today it is also made with rum or whiskey.

2 ounces brandy, cognac, Armagnac, or bourbon
1 ounce premium triple sec
¾ ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Lemon or orange twist, for garnish
Recipe
1. Gather the ingredients.
2. Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Shake well.
3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
4. Garnish with a lemon twist. Enjoy.
