The Blackberry is a cocktail made with blackberries, mint and lime juice. The cocktail is shaken with bourbon, then poured over ice and topped with club soda. There are so many different blackberry cocktails out there and we’re going to take a look at The Royal variation. It is a great cocktail for winter, made with gin, blackberries, lemon juice, cloves and allspice. The Royale is another variation of this drink that includes ginger liqueur as well as blackberries and lemon juice.
Choosing the right variety of berries to use in your cocktail will depend on what you like best and what other flavors you want to complement it with. We like to use both fresh and frozen berries depending on the season since they will give your drink a vibrant color as well as soothing taste.
