The Brass Monkey, also known as a Hot Monkey or Hot Monkey Fizz, is a cocktail made from vodka, Kahlua coffee liqueur, and orange juice. It was invented in 1975 by bartender Jackie Norris at the famous Bull & Bush Pub in Boulder, Colorado. It is one of the earliest vodka cocktails to be popularized during the vodka craze of the 1970s-1980s.

2½ ounce ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
1 ounce simple syrup
1 ounce light rum
1 ounce vodka

1. In a cocktail shaker, combine the lemon juice, simple syrup, rum, and vodka.
2. Add the ice. Shake to chill.
3. Strain into a collins glass filled with ice.
