The Garnet cocktail is a thick, dark drink with a black hue. Garnet is the oldest known cocktail, dating back to the early 19th century. It was created in an era when drinks were not heavily sweetened or mixed with fruit juices. Originally called the “Garnish” cocktail because it was served as an accompaniment to another drink, this simple mixture gained popularity on its own merits and became known as the "Garnet."
It is a tasty fruit forward cocktail made from gin and pomegranate juice. Garnet is best served in a coupe or martini glass
