Mai Tai is one of the cocktails that are loved worldwide. It is a refreshing, fruity cocktail that can be made in various ways. It is originated in 1944 by Victor Jules Bergeron Jr. also known as Trader Vic. This cocktail was invented in Trader Vic’s restaurant, “Hinky Dinks Restaurant”.
It came to life when Victor Jules Bergeron Jr ordered Martinique Rhum, Jamaican Rum, Orgeat Syrup and fresh lime juice for his guests who were visiting his restaurant for dinner one night. He then added some orange Curacao to the drink and named it "Maita'i" which means "Good".
